American Freedoms Take Down

I just finished watching a documentary named ‘Raid on America’ put out by The Epoch Times. Regardless of political persuasion every person that claims to be American should watch it. I recommend but do not get anything for this recommendation. But it stirred up something in my soul that I must share. These feelings have been swirling around for a while and now I must write.

I am a red-blooded American at heart. When I was growing up the Democratic party or the Republican party did not mean anything but the person’s moral fiber that was running for office was all that mattered.

Hmmm. Moral fiber. What did that mean? It meant that what a person said is what they would do. It meant that what a person did is what came from their heart and they would stand by it. It meant that right would always be right and wrong would just wrong. But what is today’s definition of moral fiber? Seems it has changed.

Moral fiber today seems to be whatever is politically correct is all that matters. If a person lies to get ahead that is acceptable if it has a political agenda. What a person does, whether right or immoral, is OK as long as they are politically correct. Life has no sanctity so if someone does another in, whether physically or mentally, as long as there is some greater political reason it makes it OK, and if someone disagrees with this nonsense then they are labeled a domestic terrorist.

This political correctness is a war on America, the American people and the freedoms that American used to stand for.

If I cannot speak what I believe because it might offend someone, my freedom is canceled. If I cannot listen to someone that does not think like me without wanting to harm them, my freedom is canceled. If someone who does not agree with me cannot listen without wanting to do me in then my freedom is canceled along with theirs, for at some point in time what they believe should be done to a fellow American will eventually come true for them.

We are living in dangerous times. Right now we are living under a dictatorial regime that will do anything to stay in power, and both sides are equally to blame.

Why do you think all Trump supporters have been put on a domestic terrorist list?

Why do you think that all registered Republicans have been put on a domestic terrorist list?

Why do you think every person with a registered gun has been put on a domestic terrorist list?

Why do you think that all true Christian churches have been targeted because the people within are domestic terrorist?

Do you think the statements above are false? Go google these things and begin to think for yourself. Yes, there are always way far left or way far right people that just don’t make sense. Beware of them but there are many God fearing Americans that are speaking the truth you just have to look with open eyes and open ears.

Why do you think the powers are targeting the freedom of speech? Because of this one fact: One person standing up for the truth and speaking out so the people hear will bring down a dictatorship. So they fight against the freedom of free thoughts and free speech.

Our founding fathers feared this power of a few so immensely that it is why the Constitution and the Bill of Rights were written, to try to keep America free. We are one of a handful of countries that based our freedoms on our God given rights, given to us by the Creator. This is why America grew. This is also what the political powers want stripped from us, the knowledge that we all have been created by God so we are all equal, not just a few, not just the ones in power, not just the rich, not just the people with a certain education, not just a certain color. We are all equal.

So please, America, Americans, look up from your texting, look up from your social media, look up from your party choice and courageously say, “I will think for myself. I will reason for myself. I will respect your freedom to speak as you believe so that I can keep my freedom of speech. If one of us loses that freedom we have all lost.”

Pray for America.

If my people, which are call by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

2 Chronicles :14

Stand in the Gap and Pray

The earth is in a world-wide struggle. We struggle and war against principalities, powers and rulers of the air. Yes, there is a war in the heavens for who will ultimately win earth forever. Yes, we can help combat the war with prayer. Prayer for our leaders. Prayer for our nation. Prayer for our friends. Prayer for ourselves. When we pray, God hears, God responds. The below scripture is Psalm 141, the Good News Translation, not in its entirety. I stand in the gap and intercede for our leaders, our country, ourselves.

I call to you, Lord; help me now! Listen to me when I call to you. Receive my prayer as incense, my uplifted hands as an evening sacrifice.

Lord, place a guard at my mouth…keep me from wanting to do wrong…may I never take part in their evil.

But I keep trusting in you, my Sovereign Lord. I seek your protection; don’t let me die! Protect me from the traps they have set for me…May the wicked fall into their own traps while I go by unharmed.

Standing in the gap is no small thing. Israel is a mirror image of our own depraved, sinful nation. We have sinned against God and against heaven, but there are those of us, those who are called by God’s name that can stand and answer.

“The people of the land have used oppressions, committed robbery, and mistreated the poor and needy; and they wrongfully oppress the stranger.”

“So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.”

Therefore I have poured out my indignation on them; I have consumed them with the fire of My wrath; and I have recompensed their deeds on their own heads,” says the Lord God. Ezekiel 22:29-31 NKJV

Who will stand in the gap? Will you? Will our neighbors? Will the Church? Will I stand or will I run in fear?

Disturb the Waters

Prayer by Sir Francis Drake

Disturb us, Lord, when we are too well pleased with ourselves, when our dreams have come true because we dreamed too little, when we arrived safely because we sailed too close to shore.

Disturb us, Lord, when with the abundance of things we posses, we have lost the thirst for the waters of life; having fallen in love with life, we have ceased to dream of eternity, and in our efforts to build a new earth we have allowed our vision of the new heaven to dim.

Disturb us, Lord, to dare more boldly, to venture on wider seas where storms will show your masjesty; where losing sight of land, we shall find the stars. We ask You to push back the horizon of hopes, and to push back the future in strength, courage, hope and love.

This we ask in the name of our Captain, who is Jesus Christ. Amen

Sir Francis Drake, the first of twelve sons, was the second person to circumnavigate the world which took three years. History shows he was not a perfect person; full of flaws and discrepancies of faith and life. He was totally human like we are. But at some point in time, he found who he needed, Jesus.

The prayer above is a heart felt prayer and one that I need, as a fellow human, to pray and think about more often. If I allowed God to disturb the waters of my life, what could I accomplish? Could I change my little corner of the world, or could I change the world? Should I stay complacent with where I am, secure and safe, or am I brave enough to become the warrior that I see inside of me?

Who do you see inside of you? What are you afraid of, or what are you satisfied with? Have we both dreamed too small? Maybe our small dreams were enough but if you are like me, there is a pull, a tension, a desire in our hearts to be more. There are things that are not done. There are things that only you or I can accomplish. God made us and designed us–purposely and thoughtfully and intentionally. You and I are here to do what He saw when we were thought of by Him.

This unique design is what calls out to our hearts. It beckons us. It seduces us with more. No one can do what we do, like we do. Because of this pull inside of me, I pray this prayer with passion:

Disturb me, Lord, that I might seek Your face. I will find in You the strength to accomplish what You have designed. I do not have to see what that design is, I just have to follow. As I follow make me hunger for more and more of You until nothing else matters, until the earth fades and all I see is Your majesty. Disturb me, Lord, until all that will satisfy me in this life is life with You. Amen (let it be).
