Wow! A lot has happened since last time. I have kind of not wanted to get into some of this but there are some things that bother me and that I question. Oh, by the way, hello friend! I pray for you daily that God will guide your heart and mind to His truth.
The way I understand this new ‘culture’ is if you disagree with me you will be canceled from any further attention from me. Now, I don’t know about you but that really makes no sense at all if you think about it. What if it keeps being construed to mean more than it does now?

Take your child for instance, let’s say for this argument that you have tried to teach your child to say thank you when he receives a present. He absolutely refuses because he thinks he is owed the present so no thank you is required. Impasse. Will he be suddenly erased from your concerns? Will he suddenly be on his own?

Lets go the other way now. Say you mother, or close relative and you have a differing of opinions. Let’s say, for arguments sake, neither of you will budge on how you think. Do you just walk away and pretend they are no longer worthy of your attention?
Your religion is not the same as mine – you are canceled. Your political party is not the same as mine – you are canceled. You live in a different state and won’t move – you are canceled. You won’t protest with me about what I believe – you are canceled. The color of your skin is different than mine – you are canceled. I kneel only before my God – I am canceled. I am an American Patriot – I am canceled. I believe in life – I am canceled. This could go on and on, and still it makes no sense. If we are human and we claim to be civilized humans, then every person on the face of the earth has a right to his or her own opinion without being canceled by someone who thinks differently. They are just different.
Different is not bad. Musicians are different because they hear a music we cannot hear, but they share what they hear, it moves us to tears. Artists are different because they see everything through their lens of their eyes, and what beauty our eyes stare at when they make it visible to the rest of us. People in love are usually very different and when they give themselves to each other, such a magical change it makes. Different is not bad. Different is just different, and it does not mean we should fight, lie, violent protest and threaten with death others that do not see as we see or feel as we feel. What is wrong with different?
Now I know that some are going to say what about rights of others. If what I want would cause harm or death to another, I have no right to force what I believe on any other human. If what I want causes undue fear for life, causes any other human to feel belittled or shamed for the color of their skin, black or white, then what I want is not right. But here again, I believe in right and wrong, not shades of gray or that evil is good and good is evil. As humans, as Godly women, we should be able to distinguish the difference between lies and truths and see the worth of every human being in God’s eyes because in His eyes we all are the same. Jesus died for everyone on this planet because He see the worth of each and every one.
He did not cancel that one over there because they are cross-eyed. He did not cancel the other one in the corner because they have acne. He did not cancel the person down the street because they stutter. He did not cancel the person across the street because they look different. We should do the same. Reach out to the hurting and angry and frustrated and frightened and poor and rich and powerful and weak and show them respect as a human being. Maybe people have forgotten how to be kind, how to be thoughtful, how to show respect, how to honor, how to see people. If we looked into that treasure chest and saw each person as an expensive jewel, an work of art in gold or silver or precious stones, could we make a difference?

I know you and I differ on our outlooks on life because our history is different, but that does not make either of us wrong for being different nor does it give us the right to ‘cancel’ each other. I will still call you friend and I will still pray for you daily as I follow what His word teaches. “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people – for kings and all those in authority…“1 Timothy 2:1-2
